Somalia Truck Association (STA) was established in the year 2011 as a society registered with Ministry of Transport and Civil aviation Somalia, for the welfare of Somalia's Road Transport Fraternity and to act as its mouthpiece in the matters related to country's Road Transport Industry. During the past Eight years, STA has been recognized as one of the foremost apex bodies of Somalia's Road Transport Sector by the Ministry of Transport Somalia. STA have been generously working as a powerful pillar of nation’s prosperous economy for the past 8 years, representing nearly 85% of the organized Somalia Road Transport Business. STA main objective is to provide a common voice to articulate business constraints facing its members, while also contributing towards the realization of a safe, reliable, efficient, professional and environmentally friendly road freight industry in Somalia.
STA is steered by a team of 8 directors and 7 staff members charged with day-to-day running of the Secretariat. The Secretariat is headed by the Chief Executive Officer. The Association’s Secretariat is located at Maka-almukarama road.
